Explore the Biodiversity at Clay Cliffs Natural Area

Saturday, July 6th | 10:00am

Begin your morning with a hike up the enchanted trail spilling over with an amazing diversity of native plants and animals which support huge webs of interconnected living organisms. Marvel at the expansive view from 200 feet high above Lake Michigan with expansive views of the Manitous in the distance and perhaps a determined bald eagle scanning the water for a potential fish dinner. Wonder how the early settlers were able to sustain themselves on this property using the forests, wetlands, and Lake Leelanau. Feel proud that this “wild” 105 acres has been saved in perpetuity by so many caring Leelanau folks, all so future generations can be awed by every visit, too.
