Late Fall Hike at Palmer Woods Forest Reserve

Trees, trees, trees…and ferns!  Just past the midpoint of autumn and the forest has been prepping for winter.  With less foliage to draw our attention, we will take the opportunity to talk about sustainable forestry and see examples of its implementation at Palmer Woods.  We will look for seeds and seedlings and check out the location of the new fern garden, sure to be a Conservancy treasure!  Hope to see you there on Saturday, November 9 at 2:00 pm.  This will be an active walk of approximately 3 miles, starting at the southern trailhead on Wheeler Rd.
