The first biological sight of Spring in Leelanau is the small, green heads of leeks poking through the snow. They should highlight this hike. Perhaps it would not be the end of the world, if one nibbles them to taste the refreshing spice of the season to come!
We’ll also hear from docents Peter Wolcott, Bert Thomas and Emmy Lou Cholak about the storied history of the natural area. This will be a moderate hike that will last 1 1/2 to 2 hours; please dress appropriately for the weather with sturdy walking shoes.
