Rally to Celebrate Our 30th Anniversary

Thursday, August 1st | 5:00pm

In honor of the Leelanau Conservancy’s 30th Anniversary, we invite you to celebrate with fellow friends and lovers of Leelanau. Share a locally sourced, casual meal catered by Epicure Catering with beverages by Baia Estate Leelanau and Arbor Brewing. Relish the beauty of Leelanau summertime while enjoying entertainment from the Cabin Fever String Band at the historic Dechow Farm in Sleeping Bear Dunes National Lakeshore.

In 1991, we held our first ‘Friends Rally’ to celebrate the successes of our fledgling Conservancy. Now, 30 years after our founding, our mission remains the same: to conserve the land, water and scenic character of Leelanau County.

Thanks to your support, we’ve been able to protect over 14,000 acres of the best of Leelanau forever. In the same spirit as in our first-ever gathering, rally with us to celebrate the past, present and future of the Leelanau Conservancy.

  • Entertainment by the Cabin Fever String Band, who played at the very first Leelanau Conservancy Rally. 5 pm-8 pm.
  • Celebratory address & toast by Executive Director Tom Nelson at 6:30pm.
  • Event concludes at 8pm.
  • Pre-Event Guided Hikes & Bike Rides at Palmer Woods Forest Reserve guided by Conservancy Staff & Docents. Additional information and details coming soon!

Tickets are on sale until July 25th. Tickets will not be available to purchase at the door due to National Park Regulations. Ticket price includes meal, beverages and entertainment. $45 adult, $20 kids. This is a green, zero-waste event.
