The wooded shelter of Kehl Lake Natural Area reveals the natural features that made the area appealing to both Indigenous people and European settlers. The flat trail meanders along the lake and through an old, unlogged forest. We’ll look for clues that tell us about the current inhabitants of the woods.
During the hike we will introduce concepts of “Mindfulness in Nature” to heighten awareness of the symbiotic relationship between plants and animals.
Please be prepared- the trail can be slippery in the snow.
