Workbee: Fern Transplanting at Kehl Lake Natural Area

Join Stewardship staff at Kehl Lake Natural Area to dig up royal, marsh and sensitive ferns that might otherwise be trampled during a boardwalk improvement project. We’ll dig and pot up the ferns and then transplant them to the Palmer Woods fern garden site. Bring shoes that can get wet, gloves, water and bug spray and plan to hike in at least ½ a mile to the area. If you’re not restricted by time, we could use help planting them at Palmer Woods too. Meet at the Kehl Lake Natural Area parking lot.
