Anne Rodeck has been selected to The Leelanau Conservancy as a Stewardship Technician. She was born and raised in Northern Michigan. For the last 15+ years, she has lived in different parts of Leelanau County. She graduated from Hope College in Holland, Michigan with a degree in language studies, with an emphasis in Spanish-Studies. She later moved back to Traverse City and received her associate’s degree in Child Development. She has been an early childhood educator for over 15 years. She has enjoyed using the outdoors as her classroom throughout the seasons. She enjoys spending more time learning about our natural resources in the area and sharing what she knows. She has been inspired by local courses such as Freshwater Studies and Ecology field studies, where she has felt an overwhelming need to help children feel connected to their environment (in the age of technology). You can find her exploring coyote dens in her own backyard, picking up owl pellets, and hiking in new places.
